Six months ago, the CFC and Pandemic Legion continued and expanded their OTEC agreements in the form of the B0TLORD Accords. In the arrangement, a series of regions were deemed to be "off limits" for both parties to use and operate capitals and above in. For this story, it is important to note that per the deal the following provisions were agreed upon:
Both CFC and PL agree to prohibit the following actions in one anothers designated "home space"
*attacking signatory supercapitals, supercapital fleets, and capital fleets
*bringing any caps greater than five triage carriers and a bridging Titan
*bringing a strategic-level subcapital force (more than 250 subcaps)
Earlier today, an Erebus belonging to the character Cun, a recently departed member of GaNg BaNg TeAm, was destroyed by Pandemic Legion in the Fountain system of 14YI-D. Fountain, according to the agreement, falls under the CFC's "home space" - and more importantly, 14YI-D is a CFC controlled system, owned by Fatal Ascension. CFC diplo Powers SA stated that the Erebus in question was in the midst of being scammed by a member of FA, and that a small "ghost rider" fleet was on standby waiting for the signal to attack. There are also sources claiming that Pandemic Legion also attempted to scam the pilot, and had a cyno alt positioned in 14YI-D. Before the FA member could complete their scam and bring the friendly fleet into system, Pandemic Legion sprung their attack on the titan.
Pandemic Legion's actions fell within the bounds of B0TLRD. The presence of the carriers, most likely triage, still fell within the "no bringing any caps greater than five triage carriers" rule. At best one could claim the situation was a case of who had the better "rules lawyer." When reached for comment on their successful kill, PL's FC RoCkEt X stated that the organization would not provide details, but did note that an estimated 2 billion ISK worth of fuel was spent moving the hunting team for the initial tackle.
Thanks to Powers SA and RoCkEt X for the interviews, and thanks to JSSix for the video.
