Dual rep incursus is the best incursus for basically all occasions in FW plexing. That which cannot kill you has to wait for your cap to die out.The lack of range control is much less of an issue in FW because you can orbit the plex entrance beacon at your optimal and just open up on anyone who comes in. Brawlers are incredibly popular in FW inside the plexes because they're so hard to get away from.

For those of us who have been running in the Gallente Militia, this is huge news. Tama and OMS are just insanely dangerous systems for Galmil. The OMS does a lot of very competent gate camping and protects plexes while their newbies flip timers. They're way more organized and cohesive than the random efforts that bumble into turn a few smalls and novces in tristabs. To see OMG actually get kicked around is pretty exciting.

think you got that backwards...

Its good to see that Dust is having a impact.. hopefully this will push more players into it and make FW a bit more of a challenge

Caldari militia... a bunch of loners... they sat outside the gates while we fought tonight...so brave

http://j4lp.eve-kill.net/?a=ki... We're here http://i.imgur.com/vYRvkWW.gif ... is just for fun, but to smack a cruiser fleet just flying cruisers, and watch the Gallente stand down...was funny. They're nothing without their Russian farmers...so like the Matari.

Make sure to fit warp core stab and run away from anything resembling a fight or content

Ofc it's working...EVE is not dead, EVE is just getting warmed up and DUST is just starting it's engines. You don't build something awesome overnight!CCP promised you amazing stuff - it's just that they're taking their sweet time as always to do it.Have some fucking faith people - after all we are playing the single most awesome game humanity has invented thus far :DNow imagine all this FW + DUST goodness combined with the Rubicon changes...deeeeeeee-licious.Time to re-sub!

Now, if they make Dust even more connected to Eve, we will be seeing space and ground war all bloody day in FW and more.

And nerf it's optimal range, lock time and deeps to +1 a ship that has so little EHP that merely pointing it actually puts it into half armor? No way.

These pictures for your articles really are fab - where they all coming from? Cheers.

Old Man Star has literally just fallen out of Caldari control.

Looks like enough have been playing FW this week...

CCP Nullarbor says killmails for orbital strikes should turn up in the next expansion after Rubicon.

I mean even more than that. Things like, say, supply drops from orbit, ferrying infantry from one warzone to another aboard a destroyer, industry, anything to make DUST fights more than just mere blips on the radar.

All the Dust talk in GalMil coms while OMS was hitting Vulnerable this evening was about how matches were being thrown on both sides. I think that's definitely an issue that's going to need to be addressed. It also seems unbalanced that the more organized faction in DUST can have a meaningful impact on EVE, but the mechanics for orbital strikes make it effectively worthless for the more organized EVE faction to leverage space superiority.

Old Man Star, Essence Region - Following last night's report on the Gallente/Minmatar Invasion of Caldari-held stronghold system Heydieles, two attempts were made to capture the system. The first attempt was thwarted by Caldari ground forces forcing the system out of vulnerable with 33% armor left on the Infrastructure Hub. Several minutes later, Gallente ground forces surged back, returned the system to a vulnerable state, and Heydieles fell at 07:55 Eve Standard Time.

Shortly after the fall of Heydieles, offensive operations turned to Old Man Star, where fighting has been reported as "heavy" most of the day. The battle began ominously for the Caldari as an <OMG> booster Damnation was scanned down and destroyed by a Gallente fleet. Several Caldari corps and alliances have also begun to rally to assist OMG in holding Old Man Star.

Australian, European, and Russian pilots along with Americans that have a holiday today have been clashing in everything from frigates to HACs. The fighting has been the most brutal on both the insides and outsides of Factional Warfare complexes, the capture of which feeds into the contested percentage of the system, and will dictate when/if the iHub can be taken. Both sides have engaged in tactics designed to separate the opposing fleet and isolate ships ill prepared to deal with a more powerful force before help can arrive. With up to 3 complexes open at a time, there have been up to 3 battles raging at a time to match.

The ground war in this fight thus far has been decisively won by the Caldari. A Factional Warfare Dust event is also ongoing this week which may be helping drive soldiers to the fight for both sides. District ownership in Old Man Star has been 100% Caldari for most of the day.

If the Caldari are not able to hold the line at Old Man Star, it is expected that the Gallente will press on to Ladistier. If Ladistier is also taken, the most likely fallback system for the Caldari once it falls will be Aeschee, a system outside of the war zone and not vulnerable to capture.

At the time of this writing (16:50 Eve Standard time) Old Man Star is sliding towards vulnerable at a slow, but steady pace, and is presently at 51.4% contested. It was in the 30% range when Heydieles fell.
